Grace Ragsdale of Ragsdale Inc has been involved with a charity project this past holiday season called "Mission Possible". This project, a part of a new Chicago-based non-profit called Designing for Veterans, was founded by a number of interior design students from the Illinois Institute of Art.

Ragsdale will be doing the painting work for Designing for Veterans projects, pro-bono. The current project entails the redesign of an Iraqi veteran's master bedroom and bathroom. The redesign will better accommodate Cameron’s needs after losing both legs from the knee cap down and suffering a crushed spine. Cameron now has two synthetic spines in his back and despite his injuries; he is attending the University of Chicago to become a doctor! His journey is a truly amazing story.

In order to raise money for the project, Ragsdale is having a silent auction at Bernhardt Design in the Merchandise Mart on January 20 from 5-8pm. Grace will be donating a buffet cabinet from her GracieR line of painted furniture. The two part buffet cabinet is "Ragsdale Red” and will be finished with their signature gold leaf detailing. This cabinet is a true beauty and Grace’s painting has brought a vintage item back to life, just as this project will help to bring Cameron a renewed sense of life with more manageable living arrangements.
